**************************
Joseph Boone was the son of Walter Dearborn and Sarah (McConnell) Boone. He was born in Nicholas (Nichols) County, Kentucky. In 1840 his family lived in Carlisle, Nicholas County, and by 1850 they were in rural District 2, Nicholas County, which may have been the same location. They then migrated to Illinois, back and forth between Paris and Georgetown, and finally settled in Labette County, Kansas.
On March 12, 1871 Joseph married Sarah Elizabeth Haggard in the town of Labette, Labette County, Kansas. They had their children there, with a quick stop to Missouri, and then later retired in Oklahoma.
