BESSEMER CITY — Ralph Jimmy Boone Sr., 81, died Jan. 5, 2002.
Burial will follow in Westview Gardens.
Born in Gaston County, he was a U.S. Army Air Corp. WWII veteran, and was the owner of PIC (Pictorial) Sign Company of Bessemer City and Gastonia for over 50 years. He was a member of Bessemer City First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Auddie Lorraine Bowser Boone; three sons, Skip Boone of Cherryville, Josh Boone of Bessemer City, and Rick Boone of Gastonia; a daughter, Melody Boone of Lillington; and five grandchildren, April Williams, Mandi Boone, Patton Boone, Brandon Boone, and Christy Philbeck.
