Mable Ida Adcock was born Nov. 28, 1889, the ninth child of John W. and Martha Banks
Boomer of the Blue Hill community.
In 1903 she moved with her family to a farm near Davenport, Neb., living there and in the village, and graduating from the Davenport Community School.
She married Hamer J. Adcock, also of Davenport, in 1913.
On Sept. 3 of this year they celebrated 64 years of marriage.

In 1919, they moved to Nora where their four children grew up and where for 24 years Mrs.
Adcock was active in the community and the Methodist Church. She served as Sunday
school superintendent within the church and in various offices of the Federated Women's
Club of Nora.
Returning to a farm near Davenport in 1943, she continued her life as a homemaker, grandmother, good neighbor, member of the Women's Society of the Methodist Church and of
the Davenport Women's Club. In 1963, she and her husband moved to a home in Davenport
near the church where she lived until her death.
She died Oct. 9, in the Nuckolls County Hospital at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 11 days.

Preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers, four sisters and a daughter, Marguerite.

Survivors include her husband, Hamer, Davenport; daughters, Donna of Withersfield, Conn.,
and Mrs. Richard Clements (Joyce) of Pittsford, N.Y.; son, Dale, Superior; grandchildren, Janet and Larry Caster of Clark. S.D.. Tom and Rita Adcock of Hays, Kan., Pam Clements of Jefferson,
Ohio, Kenneth and Holly Clements of Fairport, N.Y., and Steven Clements of Newark, N.Y.;
great-grandchildren, Jeff, Jon and Joe Caster and Becky Adcock; one sister, Mrs.Florence Barkell, Deshler.
Services were Wednesday, Oct 12, at the United Methodist Church, Davenport.
