Alfred 'Muss' Bonomo, 87, of North Sewickley Twp., passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, in his home.

Born February 18, 1926, in New Brighton, a son of the late Alfred and Rose (Pullion) Bonomo. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. He was a lifetime member of Holy Family Catholic Church of New Brighton where he volunteered for many events and bingo. He was an avid golfer and a member of the American Legion, Post No. 19 in New Brighton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores (Pizzella) Bonomo, in 1989, and a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Cliff Herron.

Surviving are one daughter, Linda Hemphill (MacGraham), Ellwood City; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Deanna Bonomo, Darlington; one granddaughter, Selina and one grandson, Sam Bonomo, Darlington; a longtime companion, Barb Lougee; her son and daughter-in-law, Staff Sgt. David and Michaela Lougee, their children, Brenden and Erin, all of GA; a sister-in-law, Anita Thornton, Rochester; a brother-in-law and his wife, John and Pat Pizzella, Cheswick, PA; a devoted nephew, Cliff Herron and his wife, Joyce Herron; many more nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

Friends will be received Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Tom Kredel officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.

The family wishes to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.

Members of the Veteran Honor Guard will meet at 10:45 a.m. in the cemetery to provide military honors.
