JOSEPH SIMON BONNEVILLE

Joseph S. Bonneville is the son of Charles Joseph Bonneville and Jennie DeWinter or Berwiner depending on which child's version you believe. He was born February 24, 1898 in St. Louis.

When he registered for the draft in WWI he was working as a Lode worker for George Farmer. He was of medium height, slender, with black hair and grey eyes and had no disabilities.

He married his wife, Alice about 1920. In 1930 he was living with his family in Chicago, IL while he worked in a Canning Factory for Western Supply Co. They had two children: Joseph who was born in 1927 and Delores who was born in 1929.

In November of 1934, it was discovered that he had general carcinoma due to cancer of the right testicle. He had an operation to remove it; however, it had spread throughout his body and he died at age 36 years, 11 months and 24 days on February 17, 1935.

He was buried by his father in Old Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in St. Louis.

UPDATED INFORMATION: Grandson Jonathan Barnes reports that son, Joseph was born in 1922 and the daughter, Delores was born in 1928 and died in 2007. Father, Joseph Simon Bonneville was working as a chauffeur in 1928 when his daughter was born.
