Pauline Bonner "Ma-Ma" Phillips, 98, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Born in Gaffney, August 21, 1911, she was the widow of the late D. B. Phillips and the daughter of the late Bryant Bonner and Olive Pettit Bonner.

Mrs. Phillips was the owner/operator of the Colonial Restaurant for many years, a 1930 graduate of Gaffney High School, and a member of New Covenant Church and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving is a daughter, Martha J. Phillips of Gaffney; a sister, Sarah Stroupe of Charlotte, NC; five granddaughters, Rita R. Burgess and husband, Ronnie of Gaffney, Renee R. Brown and husband, Ronnie of Lake Greenwood, Sandra R. Mullinax and husband, Steven of Gaffney, Angela P. Shaheen and husband, John of Dalton, GA, and Lori P. Gaffney and husband, Carroll of Gaffney; eight great-grandchildren, Brandon DeStaffno, Leah R. Blackwell and husband, Joey, Tyler Mullinax, Jason McSwain and wife, Alicia, Logan Lydia Gaffney, Lauren S. Koch and husband, Micah, Alexandra Shaheen, and John Shaheen II; two great-great-grandchildren, Eilir Koch and Jonah Bryant McSwain; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, E. Bryant Phillips.

Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
