Mrs. Ella Glaspey Dies At Dunavant
Mrs. Ella Leah Glaspey, 57, wife of Henry Glaspey, died Saturday morning at the home near Dunavent, route 2, Valley Falls, after an illness of three years. The family moved to the present home from Atchison five years ago. The home here was 1019 Atchison street and he was employed at the Deer Creek creamery for the eight years they resided here.
Funeral services will be held at the Nortonville Methodist church at 2 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Kenneth Starbuck officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery at Effingham. The Warren funeral home of Nortonville is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Glaspey was born near Monrovia Jan. 5, 1895, and was married April 22, 1914 at the home of her parents, Benjamin and Mary Catherine Best Bonnel.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. George (Gretchen) Lindsey, Nortonville, and Mrs. Fla Velle ( Nadine) Haskell, Litchfield, Minn.; a son, Claude E. Glaspey, Kansas City; four sisters, Mrs. Grace Woodard, Irving, Texas; Mrs. Ruth Andrews, Atchison,; Mrs. Eric Schneider, route 2, Effingham; Mrs. George calvert (Melinda), Atchison; a brother, Claude Bonnel, Drake, Colo, and eight grandchildren.
