Henning G Bong, 79, 5910 Ogden Ave, died Tuesday at a Superior Hospital. He was born in Sweden on July 10, 1888 and had been a Superior resident fo the past 48 years.

Mr Bong was a retired city employee, having worked in the Public Works Dept. He is a member of Svea-Freja Lodge No 208, Vasa Order of America, a member of Superior Lodge No 80, Fraternal Order of Eagle, the Henry S Blomberg Post 847, VFW, the Drum Corps Club of American Legion Post 65 and Superior Barracks of Veterans of World War I.

He is survived by his wife, Dagmar A; one son, Harvey Bong, Superior; one daughter Mrs Belva (Albert) Evans, Santa Barbara, Calif; four brothers, Carl, Arvid and henry Bong, all of Poplar, Roy Bong, Mountain Home, Idaho; one sister, Mrs Elna Erickson, Poplar; six grandchildren.
