She was born June 21, 1928, in Barnard, Missouri the daughter of William "Bud" and Lottie Mattson Boner.
A 1946 graduate of Barnard High School, Betty married Edwin Lee Baker on November 23, 1946, in Troy, Kansas.
She was a homemaker and retired from the accounting department of the City of Maryville after 23 years of service.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Maryville.
Preceding her in death were her husband on August 24, 2007 and her parents.
Survivors include her children and their spouses; Bill and Lori Baker, Maryville, Brenda and Keith Best, Ravenwood, Missouri, and Barbara and John Edmonds, Wichita, Kansas; seven grandchildren; Linda Zimmerman, Lisa Leader, Paula White, Mark Frampton, Julie Dunlap, Kelly Baker, and Cooper Edmonds; and 12 great-grandchildren.
