Lois Bond, 81, of Forty Fort, died Sunday, December 5, 2010, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Homer and Agnes Jones Carl.
She was formerly employed by H & R Block as a tax preparer for more than 20 years, and was judge of elections in Forty Fort for many years.
Lois was a member of the Forty Fort Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Ellsworth Sr.; second husband, Alfred Bond; sons Howard Leroy and Merton Leon Ellsworth; grandchildren Michael and Salena Kanellis, and Timothy Ianni; and brother Merton Carl.
She is survived by her children, Martha Ann Kanellis, Kingston; Virginia Lee Siesto, Staten Island, N.Y.; Glen Leroy Ellsworth Jr., Edwardsville; Patricia Jean Nusbaum, Madison Township, Pa.; Elizabeth Frances Bamford, Madison Township; and Margaret Barbara Murphy, Miners Mills; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Kopicki Funeral Home, Kingston, with her pastor, the Rev. William Lukesh, officiating.
Interment will be in the Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
