Maryland native, Civil War veteran in the Confederacy, attorney, and best known as an inventor. Elijah Bond patented the Ouija Board (No. 446,054) on February 10th 1891. He later recorded another trademark on a talking board called Nirvana on June 18th 1907.
Elijah Bond's grave was originally unmarked. In 2007, paranormal enthusiast Robert Murch located the grave. After pulling together volunteers and donations, with approval from the family, the unique marker was created and placed.
