JACKSON - Dela Mae Boman, 85, died July 20, 2008, at Central Mississippi Medical Center-Jackson. Services are today at 2 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home in Vernon, Ala., with the Rev. Robert Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill Cemetery in Vernon. Visitation is today for two hours prior to services at the funera lhome. Ms. Boman was born May 30, 1923, in Lamar County, Ala. She worked as a seamstress. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Dorman of Pelahatchie; brother, Tilton Pennington of Birmingham, Ala.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
