MRS. BOLLMAN, 71, OF DURANT GOES TO REST

Native of Germany, Resident of Community 40 Years, Dies in North.

Durant, Ia., Feb. 17. -

Mrs. Eliza N. Bollman, aged 71 years, a resident of this community four decades, died yesterday afternoon in Mankato, Minn., where she had spent the last few months with members of her family. Her death ended a brief illness.

Mrs. Bollman was born in Holstein, Germany, Feb. 22, 1855 and was married in that country, coming to America with her husband and family in 1885. The family settled near Durant and had since made its home here. The husband, a son and a daughter, preceded the mother in death. Surviving are five sons, Peter, George, Charles, and Henry of St. Claire, Minn., and Ben of Davenport and two daughters, Mrs. Frieda Blank of St. Claire and Mrs. Minnie Lindblom of Davenport. Eighteen grandchildren also survive.

The body will arrive in Durant Friday and funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel with burial in the Durant cemetery.
