Bettye Joyce Bolling-A native of Fayette, AL and a longtime resident of Mobile, died on Monday, December 15, 2008. She was 77. Mrs. Bolling was retired from K-Mart after 25 years of service. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Bolling; and brothers, Leldon and Frank Lockart. Mrs. Bolling is survived by her son, Sam (Kim) Bolling of Mobile and stepson, Glen (Cathy) Bolling of Katy, TX; her brother, Cecil (Nita) Lockart of Lillian, AL; grandchildren, Jennifer (Eddie) Harman of Mobile, and CPL Lee Bolling USMC (res) of Semmes, AL; step-grandson, Stephen (Shannon) Bolling of Wylie, TX; sister-in-law, Mary D. Wright of Covington, GA; many other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the Nurses of 5-west ICU at Providence Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 12 noon. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Serenity Funeral Home, 8691 Old Pascagoula Rd., Theodore, AL 36582.
