Carmon Warren Bolivar 1975 Bridgewater Bulletin

Carmon W. Bolivar, 72, of Newton, Mass. and Upper LaHave, Nova Scotia, died on Wednesday, July 16, at the Mass. General Hospital, after a brief illness.

Born at Baker's Settlement, Lunenburg County, on September 16, 1902, he was the eldest son of the late John and Ella (Crouse) Bolivar. He was an active member of Eliot Congregational Church. He spent the past fifty years in Massachusetts where he was engaged in a succesful carpentry business. Carmon loved his native Nova Scotia, and for the past twelve years he returned to his cottage at Upper LaHave for the summer months.

Being of an amiable disposition and interested in people, he will be greatly missed by his family, relatives, and friends.

Surviving beside his wife, the former Myra Hebb, are two sons, Wayne of Needham, Mass.; Norman of Newton, Mass.; four grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (Mrs. Fletcher Hebb), Somerville, Mass.; Winifred (Mrs. Forrest Whynot), Buckfield; and a brother, Harry, Bridgewater.

He was predeceased by a brother, Elmer, in 1966.

The funeral service was held in the Mackey Funeral Home, Newton, on Saturday, July 19, with Rev. Herbert Davis officiating. Interment was in the Newton Cemetery.

With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
