BOLINGER, HELEN McCALLIE - formerly of Knoxville, died on November 30, 2002, at her home in North Palm Beach, Florida, from complications of Parkinson's Disease. She was 81 years old. Helen was born in Knoxville in 1921, the daughter of Lossie and Hugh McCallie. She graduated from Knoxville High School and earned a degree in Home Economics from the University of Tennessee, where she was an academic and campus leader. She was also President of her sorority, Chi Omega. Helen is loved and remembered by her husband, John C. Bolinger, of North Palm Beach, Fla. her sister, Betty Ann Thomas and her husband, Charlie of Dalton, Ga. her daughter, Janet Harrington of Los Altos, Calif. her sons, John M. Bolinger of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Bob Bolinger and his wife, Jeannie of La Jolla, Calif., and four grandchildren, Jake, Katie, Maddie and Sophie. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at the First Presbyterian Church of Knoxville, on Tuesday, December 17, at 10:00 a.m. Helen was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian and a former President of the Women of the Church. She and John were married in the church's chapel during World War II, 59 years ago. The family requests that those who wish to make a memorial donation do so to First Presbyterian Church, 620 State Street, Knoxville, TN 37902, or to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407, or to Lost Tree Chapel, Lost Tree Village, N. Palm Beach, FL 33408.
