BOARDMAN - Roberta Ann Bolha, 84, formerly of Winston Avenue in Youngstown, passed away early Sunday morning, June 24, 2012, at her home.
Roberta was born May 28, 1928 in Detroit, Mich., a daughter of John Thomas and Alice Sample, and was raised and educated in Missouri before coming to Youngstown in the early 1950s.
Mrs. Bolha was a homemaker and a member of St. Columba Cathedral in downtown Youngstown. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Jack Bolha, whom she married Aug. 26, 1950, passed away Nov. 13, 2001.
Roberta leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Paul Martinko, with whom she made her home; a granddaughter, Lyndsay Martinko; a grandson, Michael Martinko; a great-grandson, Jack; a great-granddaughter, Jewel; a brother, Samuel (Cleta) Sample of San Antonio, Texas; a brother-in-law, Bernie Bolha of Youngstown; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Sample, and two sisters, Margaret Young and Sylvia Ragan.
Family and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 27, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Columba Cathedral.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
