CORINTH - Boyce Carlos Boles, 59, formerly of New Albany, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at his home. He was born Jan. 9, 1950, in New Albany to Carl Willis Boles and Mattie Mae Hill Boles. He attended B.F. Ford School, where he played basketball. He then attended W.P. Daniel High School. He was on the first lifeguards at the Shady Dale Park pool.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Holy Temple Church of God in New Albany. The Rev. Franklin James Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in New Albany. Serenity Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his mother, Mattie Mae Boles of New Albany; three children, Tammie (Terrell) Chills of Ripley, and Jacove (Mike) Boles and Crystal (James) Boles of Pontotoc; two brothers, Hubert (Lottie) Boles and Sammie Howard of New Albany; three sisters, Gloria (Vic) Washington, Dorothy Boles and Lula "Sister" Marion, all of New Albany; five grandchildren.
