Nina Louvenia Boles Lunsford went home to be with her Savior April 13, 2005, at the age of 95. She was born to Calvin Ross Boles and Mary Frances Turner Boles on February 19, 1910, in Rusk County.
She loved her family, flowers, cooking, gardening and especially the Lord. She was a housewife and Sunday school teacher at Arlam Baptist Church in Garrison, Texas, of which she was a member for years. She will best be remembered for her cooking and caring for others. She was the best.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Luke Lunsford; her mother and daddy; a baby daughter, Mary Elizabeth; four brothers, Joe, Jim, Junior and Edgar Boles; and one sister, Myrtle Collins.
Survivors include her son, Carl Lunsford and wife, Shirley, of Lewisville, Texas; two daughters, Louise Lunsford Fuller and husband, Tommy Lynn Fuller of Nacogdoches, Texas and Marie Lunsford Miller and husband, William Rufus "Sonny" Miller of Pasadena, Texas; grandchildren, Lance, Gwen, Noel and wife, Jenni, Larry and wife, Johnna, Charlotte, Mike and Vicki and husband, Joe; great-grandchildren, Stephen, Ryan, Christina, Staci, Trey, Heather, Hannah, Chelsea, Megan, Brittany, Michelle, Shannon, Brandon and Sarah; one great-great-grandchild, Brayden; and a host of relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Stephen and Ryan Fuller, Noel Fuller, Mike Miller, Larry Lunsford and Brian Evans.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel. Eulogy to be rendered by grandson, Lance Fuller of Pasadena, Texas, and message by Dr. Allen Reed, pastor of First Baptist Church, Nacogdoches with interment following at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Garrison, Texas.
