Ivory Mae Bolen Black

Coal City-- Ivory Mae Bolen Black, 78 , of Coal City died Feb., 7, 1998, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, after a long illness.

She was a homemaker member of Coal City Freewill Baptist Church, and was a longtime resident of Hick Hollow, Josephine, and Coal City.

Surviving; sons, Lowell and Johnny Black, both of Coal City; daughter, Delores Eckerd of Mooresville, N.C., Barbara Bennett and Laura Warner both of Coal City; Brenda Adams of Crab Orchard; brother. Rev. Cecil Bolen of Coal City; sister Rev. Clara Hornsby of Ghent, Lena Vandall of Phoenix, Arizona, Irene Walker of Beckley, 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchil, several nieces and nephew.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Coal City Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Frankie Lyons, the Rev. Jimmy Farnsworth, and the Rev. Larry Fenix officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at Rose and Quesenbery Funeral Home, Beckley and one hour prior to service at the church.
