TUPELO – Vera Bon Laney, 94, died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the Laney Green House at Traceway after an extended illness. A native of Goldsmith, Ind., she was born Nov. 1, 1913, to John and Lena Pyle. She was retired from Madden Furniture Manufacturer. She moved to Tupelo in 1981 after the death of her husband, George R. Boldon. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Tupelo. She enjoyed sewing.

Survivors include one daughter, Rita Cermack (Jerry) of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Cheryl Tolbert (Larry) of Memphis and Kerry Cermack (Penny) of Tupelo; three great-grandchildren, Thomas Cermack, Bowen Cermack and Sam Cermack.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Boldon, and her second husband, William “Bill” Laney.
