Miss Bohrer, received her BS degree in education from ISNU, Normal, Illinois, and master's degree in special education from ISNU, Normal, Illinois. She taught in several area schools before moving to St. Louis where she taught special education for 35 years.
During World War II, Lucille spent several years in Italy doing humanitarian aid/relief work with refugees and displaced persons there.
She was also very active in church and social organizations.
After retiring from education Lucille remained in St. Louis until 1989 when she moved to Florida to be near her brother Albert, and his family.
