LAWRENCE W. BOHLMAN
Lawrence W. Bohlman Sr, age 52, 526 W. 6th St., died at 8 am on Monday in Highland Hospital after a year's illness.
He was employed as an auto salesman for Cadillac and Pontiac auto agencies and for the past six years for Jack Wolf Pontiac Sales. He spent most of his life in Belvidere.
He was born Oct. 16, 1917 in Belvidere, IL son of Riney and Amanda (nee Stumpell) Bolhman. He was educated in Dundee and Carpenterville schools. He married the former Margaret Faith on Sept. 19, 1935 in Crown Point, IN.
He was a former member of the Elks Club. Mr. Bohlman was an unsuccessful city council candidate in 1969.
Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Chapman, and Mrs. Kathleen Headrick; two sons, Robert and Lawrence Jr.; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Stegman; his mother, Mrs. Amanda Bohlman; and eight granddaughters, all of Belvidere.
He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Ronald, in 1961.
Funeral services will be at Wibeck-Wheeler-Sabien Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Richard Prochnow of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Belvidere cemetery.
