Bohannon, Lisa Dawn Lisa Dawn Bohannon, age 52, of Little Rock, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012. She was born August 17, 1959 in Dallas, Texas. She was a 1978 graduate of J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas and a 1982 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. In addition to her work at the Little Rock Zoo, Dawn loved giving her time and talents to help others. Dawn was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Little Rock where she was involved in the handbell choir, the telephone ministry, the birthday card ministry (which she started) and the nursery reading program. She also played piano for the residents of Presbyterian Village and frequently knitted gifts for her family and friends. Prior to moving to Little Rock, she volunteered at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Dawn is survived by her parents, Charles and Donna Bohannon of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Tad Bohannon and wife, Gayle of Little Rock; and one nephew, Spencer Bohannon of Little Rock. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at First United Methodist Church of Little Rock with the Reverend Michael Mattox officiating. There will be an open visitation from noon to 9:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2012, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501) 224-8300. A committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas, with the Reverend Hal Habecker officiating.
