Ervin E. Bohall, 79, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 20 2010, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Ervin was born July 6, 1930, in Seymour, the son of the late Garris and Pansy (Loudermilk) Bohall. On June 27, 1952, he married Jane E. (Whitcomb) Bohall in Seymour.

He retired from Ford Motor Co. in Indianapolis after 30 years of service. He was a member of Crothersville Church of the Nazarene and United Auto Workers Local 1111. Ervin liked sports, especially watching Indiana University basketball, and enjoyed playing softball, as he played on the Ford team and in the Greenwood United Methodist softball league. He was a former board member at Southport Church of the Nazarene. One of his favorite hobbies was gardening.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was stationed in New York, Mississippi and Alaska.

Ervin is survived by his wife; two children, the Rev. Douglas (Rhea) Bohall and Dr. Steven (Barbara) Bohall; a brother, Daryl (Darlene) Bohall; four grandchildren, Jonathan (Pollyanna) Bohall, Rachel Bohall, Brian Bohall and Bradley Bohall; and three stepgrandchildren, Ryan Furry, Lauren Furry and Eric Furry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Bohall; and a sister, Norma Budde.

The Rev. Mark Wooten will conduct a funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday at Voss Chapel, 316 N. Chestnut St., Seymour. Friends and family may call from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour. A full military graveside service will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and Korean and Vietnam veterans.
