Mrs. Ellen Bogan
Mrs. Ellen Connors Bogan, 71, widow of Thomas A. Bogan. died in her home, Babbott Avenue, Sunday morning, July 26, after an illness of several months. She was born in the County of Tipperary, Ireland, September 6,1864, and came to this country with her parents when she was six years old. The family settled in Brothertown, Town of Marshal], and she had since resided in this vicinity. She was married to Mr. Bogan in St Bernard's Church, November 22, 1882. He died June 4, 1931. Mrs. Bogan was a member of St. Bernard's Church and its Rosary Society. Surviving are two sons, John E., Utica, and William T., Waterville; three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Larkin, Mrs. James L. Miller, Rome, and Mrs. Thomas Grannau [Greenan], Philadelphia, Pa.; two brothers, John, Philadelphia, and Edward Connors, Utica; two grandchildren. Stuart and Mary Ellen Bogan, Utica. Her funeral was held on Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock from St. Bernard's Church, Rev. John L. Powers, pastor, officiating. Rev. Richard P. O'Connor was present in the sanctuary. Interment was in the family plot in St. Bernard's Cemetery where Father O'Connor pronounced final absolution.
