Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirklin, followed services this afternoon at the Russell and Hitch Funeral Home, Lebanon, for Juanita Babb, of Lebanon. The Rev. Fred Sharp officiated for the funeral.

Mrs. Babb, who was 79, died Sunday at the home of her daughter in North Carolina, following a lengthy illness.

Born in Clinton County Oct 18, 1909, she was the daughter of Uslyss and Nora Ann (Louks) Bogan. She was graduated in 1937 from Kirklin High School and then moved to Bloomington where she did clerical work for four years. She then became the private secretary for Dr. T.M. Sonborn, who was head of the zoology department at I.U.

She was married in 1932 at Bloomington to Vernon W. Babb, who died Jan 3, 1982. She also helped her husband in the insurance business for a number of years before moving to Lebanon in 1970. Her hobby was painting and she was very devoted to her four granddaughters.

She is survived by daughters Carol Staton of Indianapolis, and Jane Killough of Charlotte, N.C.; brothers Robert Bogan of Lebanon and Lloyd Bogan of Mechanicsburg; a sister Cozy Burgess of Lebanon; and the four granddaughters.

Preceding her in death were three sisters and a brother.
