Dorothy L. Beckman, 85, a resident of Springfield for all her life, died at 2:47 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Heritage Manor.
She was born Sept. 5, 1922, in Springfield, the daughter of Charles and Bessie Esslinger Boehner. She married Harold A. Beckman in 1969. Her parents; son, Gary A. Hart; two brothers, Charles Boehner and Bill Barnard; and a sister, Gladys Barrow, also preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker for her family.
Surviving are her husband, Harold A. Beckman of Springfield; son, Dennis (Vrai) Hart of Thailand; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, George (Bobbie) Boehner of Ashland; four sisters, Mary Alice Bray of Palmyra, Tressie (Frank) Ferguson of Springfield and Bessie Boehner and Barbara (Harvey) Anders, both of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews.
Services at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiated. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
