Amptman, Mary F. age 80, of Fenton, MO, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Frene Valley Health Care in Owensville, MO. Mary was born December 2, 1931, in St. Louis, a daughter to the late Peter and Francis (Krieg) Boehmer. Mary graduated from St. Francis De Sales High School in St. Louis. On May 25, 1957, Mary was united in marriage to Lee Amptman in St Louis. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1988. Mary was a homemaker and raised her family in South St. Louis. Later she moved to Fenton, MO where she was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality. Mary was always available to help with funeral luncheons and was a member of the Sunday collection accountants who were responsible for the weekly collections. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary is survived by: two sons, Joe and his wife Caroline Amptman of Freeburg, MO, and John and his wife Chelle Amptman of Gerald, MO; one daughter, Kathy and her husband Butch Hilkemeyer of Freeburg, MO; one sister, Rose and her husband Ed Thomas of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild and four nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Amptman. Services: Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS, 7027 Gravois, then to J.B. National Cemetery for committal funeral service at 2:15 p.m. Thursday.
