Alphonse August Boeckmann, 84, of Jefferson City died Monday, July 10, 2006 at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born April 17, 1922 in Koeltztown, a son of Stephen and Adeleheide Luebbert Boeckmann. He attended school in Koeltztown. He was married in November 1946 to Margaret Brauner, who preceded him in death on October 12, 1949. On December 27, 1950 in Jefferson City he was united in marriage to Clara Brauner, who survives at the home.
Alphonse served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He was a lifelong farmer and was a die caster for McGraw Edison for over thirteen years until his retirement in 1972. He was a longtime member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and was most recently a member of St. Martins Catholic Church. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 35 in St. Martins.
He is survived by four daughters: Jean & Jerry Lueckenotte of Centertown; Marilyn & Bernard Kemma of St. Martins; Rita & John Thompson of Jefferson City; Sharon & Kirk Schreiber of Jefferson City; five brothers: Victor Boechmann & Jeri of St. Louis; Joe & Anna Boeckmann
of Jefferson City; Herb & Berniece of Linn; Dave & Esther of Jefferson City; Art & Helen Boeckmann of Jefferson city; five sisters: Monica & Victor Bruemmer of Jefferson City; Viola & Elmer Weber of Westphalia; Rosemary & Ray Bishop of St. Martins; Frances & Fred Schwartze of Vienna; Ann & Bill Reinkemeyer of Jefferson City; ten grandchildren:Lori Lueckenotte of Dallas TX; Keith & Dana Lueckenotte of Centertown; Lisa & Mike Berryman of Olathe, KS; Kurtis Lueckenotte of Centertown; Eric Kemna and Leslis Kemna of Jefferson City; Jennifer Thompson and fiance Adam Mehmert of Jefferson City; Joshua Thompson, Amanda Schreiber and Elise Schreiber of Jefferson City; two great grandchildren: Jacob and Caleb Lueckenotte of Centertown; a sister-in-law, Emma Boeckmann of Jefferson City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Ray Boeckmann; and one grandchild, Mary Beth Lueckenotte.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Martins Catholic Church with Fr. Edwin A. Schmidt and Fr. Daniel I.J. Lueckenotte officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
