Albert H. Boeck, 92, Beatrice, died Thursday, April 26, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, Lincoln, NE. He was born October 24, 1919 at Humboldt, NE and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945, was in four invasions and 10 countries during WWII. He worked at a CCC camp in Red Wing, MN, at Bitler Construction Co., the Humboldt Brickyard, O.A. Cooper Feed Mill which later became Central Soya, all of Humboldt, NE. He married Edith Lucille (Thomas) McNeely on August 31, 1974 in Humboldt, NE. They moved to Beatrice in 1985. He was a life member of the Geddes-Thober VFW Post 1077 in Beatrice and the American Legion Post 269, Humboldt, NE. He enjoyed watching TV, especially All My Children and the Price is Right.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Lucille Boeck of Beatrice; step-son, Mike Boston and wife Donna of Lincoln, NE; step-daughter, Pat Beckmann and husband Jerry of Elmwood, NE; 4 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dean Thomas of El Reno, OK; sister-in-law, Joyce Whitmore of Beatrice, NE; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hermann and Minnie (Pohlmann) Boeck and his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Ben Wimberly.
Memorial graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice with Pastor David Bigley officiating. A military graveside service will be conducted by the Bitting-Norman Post 27 of the American Legion. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in charge of arrangements.
