ALFRED A. BOECK, SR.
The many friends of Mr. Alfred A. Boeck, Sr., learned with regret of his death at St. Mary's Hospital on Friday.
"Pop", as he was affectionately know, had been hospitalized one week after suffering a severe stroke at his home. He was 60 years of age, having been born in Milwaukee, Wisc., on July 30, 1897. The family moved to Chicago in 1906. In 1946 he and his family came to Pondera County where they operated a ranch until their retirement three years ago. Since that time Mr. Boeck has assisted his son who owns and operates the "Lighthouse."
Survivors are his wife, Martha; daughter, Mrs. Alice Moffett, son Al, Jr., all of Valier; 2 foster sons, Andy Boeck, Chicago, and T. Sgt. Orville Hess, with the army in France; a brother, Walter of Chicago, and 7 grandchildren.
Furneral services were held from the Valier Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday with Rev. Wilmer Kennedy Officiating. Masonic Rites were conducted at Lakeview Cemetery, Valier.
We extend sincere sympathy to those of you mourn the loss of your loved one.
