SPRINGFIELD - Mrs. A. Annette (Fox) Bodurtha, 59, wife of Earle S. P. Bodurtha of 302 Bay street, died at Springfield hospital last night after a long illness.
She was born at West Springfield August 15, 1878, daughter of Job and Alice D. (Wright) Fox, but had lived in Springfield for 17 years. She was a graduate of West Springfield high school and of Mount Holyoke college and was a member of the Mount Holyoke College Club.
For several years she taught in the Buckingham school and in the Westfield state normal school. She was a member of First Congregational church of West Springfield, Mercy Warren chapter, Order of Eastern Star of Westfield, and was a past president of the West Springfield Women's Club.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Edward Fox Bodurtha, and a daughter, Virginia E. Bodurtha; a brother John S. Fox and a sister, Hazel M. Fox, both of West Springfield.
The funeral will be held at the parlors of Dickinson-Streeter company Thursday afternoon at 2, following an organ prelude by Dorothy Birchard Mulroney at 1:30. Rev. Harry L. Oldfield will officiate.
Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Agawam.
