Margie M. Mallow
Margie Marie Mallow, 81, a resident of Route 1, Montrose, the Piercy Road, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Friday at her residence.
She was born June 28, 1921, at Gladwin, the daughter of the late John William and Luie Cunningham Bodkin.
On March, 19, 1941, she was married to Hobart Mallow, who preceded her in death on April 9, 1970.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry Lee Mallow and wife, Marlene, of Montrose, and Donald Neil Mallow of Belington; two daughters, Judith Ann Mallow of Beverly and Norma Jean Mallow of Montrose; and a son-in-law, David E. Varner of Elkins.
Nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan K. Varner; a granddaughter, Eleanor Varner, 10 brothers, Isom, Roy, Floyd, Odis, Osbern, John, Omer, Delbert, Oscar and Luther Bodkin; and a sister, Gertrude Judy.
Mrs. Mallow attended the schools of Randolph County and was a homemaker.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dave Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery. At the request of the family, flowers are to be omitted and memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Corp., 629 North Ave., Elkins, W.Va., 26241, in memory of Mrs. Mallow.
