Jessie Lee Bartley, 88, of Low Gap, NC passed away Tuesday, Mar. 24, 2009 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Bartley was born on Nov. 30, 1920 in Carroll County to Martin & Cora Manuel Bobbitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Eugene Bartley. She is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, James & Amy Bartley of Windsor, NC; one grandchild; sister, Frances Gentry of Low Gap, NC; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held Thursday, Mar. 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor J.R. Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the McKenzie Cemetery. Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home of Galax was in charge of the arrangements.
