Mrs. Zelda Beck

Mrs. Zelda Beck was born June 19, 1875, near Grove City, Pennsylvania, and died at her home in Edgar, Nebraska, January 19, 1935 at the age of 59 years and 7 months.

She with her parents and three brothers moved to Illinois in 1889 and after a short stay there moved to a farm near Davenport, Nebr., where she grew to young womanhood.

Early in life she joined the Presbyterian Church.

On August 11, 1897, she was married to Herbert A. Beck. To this union nine children were born, S. William of Hebron, Mrs. E. O. Jodar of Detroit, Michigan; John and Donald of Hughson, California; Leslie, Mrs. Marvin Sugden, Chester, Gordon and Erma of Edgar. Besides her family she leaves six grandchildren , four brothers, Milton I. and John W. Robb of New Windsor, Illinois; A. J. C. Robb of Lincoln, Nebr., and Veston Robb of Julian, Nebraska and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death

She was a faithful wife, good mother and a loyal friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church on Monday afternoon at 2:30, Rev T. S. Hughes officiating. The Presbyterian male quartet furnished the music, Prof. Floyd A. Hanson substituting of C. S. Voorhees. Mrs. E. R. Voorhees accompanied on the organ.

The pallbearers were Vernon Jacobs, Wm Diekman, Earl McCue, Eddie Everetts, Earl Bohling and Merle Bohling.

Interment was made in the Edgar Cemetery.
