Thelma L. Edwards, 97, Bloomington, formerly of Anchor, passed away at 6:55 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 7, 2012) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
She was born May 22, 1925 in Russellville, Kentucky to Frank and Effie Lawson Boatwright. She married Clayton L. Edwards on March 9, 1940 in Clifty, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1999.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Rick Edwards; five sisters and one brother.
Surviving are her children, Barbara (Ron) Wahl, Danny (Connie) Edwards, Helen (Norman) Brooks, Clara (Ron) Hempstead, Randy (Laura) Edwards, Paula (Rick) Hammund and Paul (Tina) Edwards; 24 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Cindy Edwards.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Cooksville.
Thelma was a homemaker and baby sat for many children throughout the years.
