JOHNSTON, Jan. 12. — The death of M. S. Boatwright occurred here Thursday at the age of 68. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary E. Barton Boatwright and the following children, Pearl Boatwright, of Newberry, John Boatwright, Bunyan Boatwright, Miss Grace Boatwright, Johnston, and the following step children: Mrs. Emmie Holsenback of Warrenville; St. Pierre Boatwright, Trenton; Malon Boatwright, Sumter; Callie Boatwright, Jacksonville; Wilson Booth, Wagner; J. W. Booth, Charleston; W. P. Booth, Winter Garden Florida; Henry and Sol Booth, Johnston and sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild, two brothers, Pearl and Pope Boatwright, Ridge Spring, and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Fox, Monetta; Miss Ella Boatwright, Batesburg.

The funeral was held Friday from Ward Methodist church, and interment in the cemetery by the Rev. B. E. Wall, pastor of Johnston Baptist church.

Mr. Boatwright came to Johnston nine years ago from Trenton, entering the mercantile business which he followed until a few years ago when he took up farm life.
