Funeral services for Mrs. Ernie Mae Boatner Bass, age 73 of Dry Prong will be held 2 p.m. Monday January 22, 2007 at the Church of God of Prophecy in Pineville with Rev. Robert Barker and Rev. Wayne Evans officiating. Interment will follow at the Olla Cemetery.

Mrs. Bass was born on December 5, 1933 to the union of her parents L.C. Boatner and Letha Jones Wall and died Friday January 19, 2007 at St. Francis Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria.

She was a homemaker and was a very loving mother and a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jasper Bass and her sister Mava Aron.

Survivors include one son, Steve Boatner and his wife Sandra of Pineville; three daughters, Sharon Oalmann and her husband Dennis of Dry Prong, Donna Zeagler and her husband Ronnie of Summerville and Janet Haley and her husband Paul of Bush; five brothers, Jerry Boatner, Everette Boatner, Carnell Boatner, Glenn Boatner, and Curtis Boatner; one sister, Gloria Boatner Penzica; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jason Ross, Jason Olinde, Rob Barker, Nathan Stamper, Travis Haley and Trampas Haley.

Visitation will be starting at 5 p.m. at the Church of God of Prophecy.
