Iris Sarah Boatman Amos, daughter of the late Otis Jasper Boatman and Fannie Ellen Collins Boatman, was born April 3, 1913 in Flat Rock, Arkansas. She departed this life February 5, 2013 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 99 years, 10 months and 2 days. She was united in marriage twice in her life. Her first husband was John A Harrison. Her second husband was William Amos. Both husbands preceded her in death. Iris spent her life as a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, homemaker and friend. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the New Hope fellowship Church.

Iris is not survived by any immediate family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one daughter: Lynn Martinson; three sisters: Rita Jones, Martha Young and Emma Collins; four brothers: Kelly Boatman, Thomas Boatman, Euen Boatman and Buddy Boatman.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Leon Morehead officiating. Burial will be at Flat Rock Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will began at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9.
