Crowder, OK-Lomar Paul Boatman, 53, oil field construction worker and rock mason, died Saturday in a McAlester hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1924 in Pauls Valley and lived for several years in the Crowder area before moving to California. He returned here last June. Boatman was a member of the Church of Christ. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Myrtle Boatman of the Crowder area. Survivors include three daughters, Toni Satterfield, Delores Boatman and Regina Boatman, Lamont, Calif.; a son, Lomar P. Boatman, Jr., Lamont; a sister, Zimma Stewart, Las Vegas, Nev., four cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hope and Mr. and Mrs. Murray Banks, Crowder; and four grandchildren. Funeral services are set for Wednesday at 10 a.m., in the Crowder Church of Christ. Richard Taylor will officiate. The remains will be interred later in the week. Pallbearers will be Bob Banks, Ted Hope, Richard Clanton, Frank Yearly and Lynn Earl LeFlore.
