Juel Boatman, 79, of West Memphis and retired truck driver for Freight Hauler, passed away August 14, at his residence in West Memphis.

He was born January 10, 1932 in El Paso, Arkansas to the late Walter and Lucy Mae (Watson) Boatman.

Mr. Boatman was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in West Memphis and the National Guard Reserves.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne Boatman of West Memphis, daughter, Jackie Harrell (Eric) of Brinkley; son, Michael Boatman (Jackie) of West Memphis, AR; two sisters, Florence Estep of Texas and Lula Mae Faulks of Beebe, AR; 6 grand-children; Amanda Abbott, Caitlin Boatman, Megan Boatman, Heather Bokker, Erin Harrell and Case Harrell; two great-grandchildren, Eli Abbott and Michael Abbott..
He was preceded in death by a brother W. H. Boatman.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM August 16, 2011 at the 1st Assembly of God Church in West Memphis and services starting at 7:00 at the church with a private burial.
Pastor Rust Blann will conduct the services and serving as pallbearers will be, Alan Harrell, Case Harrell, Michael Harrell, Camden Harrell, James Harrell and Clayton Adams.
