Mr. Boatman went to be with the Lord Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at his home in Keller.
Burial will be at Mountain Park Cemetery under direction of Brown Funeral Home, Chickasha.
He was born Feb. 12, 1948, in Lawton, to the late Charles A. Boatman and Edna M. Boatman. He served four years in the United States Marine Corps; two tours of duty in Vietnam and two years in the Marine Corps Reserves. Charles was a loving brother/uncle, and anytime you were around him, you were guaranteed a laugh.
He was preceded in death by both parents: Charles A. and Edna M. Boatman; a brother, Roy Dale Boatman; and a sister, Charlene Boatman.
Charles is survived by James D. Boatman and wife Sherry, of Anniston, Ala.; Marie Boatman, of Ada; Gwen Boatman, of Lawton; Edward Boatman and wife Tonya, of Decatur, Texas; and Joe Boatman, of Florida; 21 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
