Edna V. Boatman
Mrs. Edna V. Boatman, 86, of 353 Nices Hollow Road, Jersey Shore, died Friday Dec 12, 2003, at her home.
Born Oct. 28, 1917, in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter of Archie Myers and the former Julia Oberg. Her husband, Robert O. Boatman Sr., survives her. They were united in marriage June 6, 1937. Several years ago Boatman's Diner and Weldons of Williamsport employed her.
Also surviving are two sons, Kenneth E. Boatman of Temple, Georgia, and David E. Boatman of Kennesaw, Georgia; two daughters, Delphine L. Fravel of Avis and Anna M. Sechrist of Jersey Shore; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Willard Myers of Ocala Fla.
Two sons, Robert O. Boatman Jr. and Dale R. Boatman, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of services in the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. The Revs. A.C. Phipps and Kay Wilkerson will officiate.
