Winnie Jo Arnold, 81, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Dan Kruse officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Winnie Jo was born on May 21, 1929, in Wewoka, Okla., to Robert and Luella Boatman. She worked as an administrator for Upjohn Healthcare Services and most recently worked as the director of nurses over the PAMIO Unit at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice William P. Clements Unit. She was a founding member of the Rolling Hills Riding Club and a member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Arnold; a sister, Lois Nickels; and a brother, Roel Boatman.
Winnie Jo is survived by three daughters, Linda Stephens and partner Terri of Amarillo, Karen Arnold of San Francisco and Cherie Kruse and husband Dan of Costa Mesa, Calif.; a son, Daryll Arnold of San Francisco; three grandchildren, Daniel Kruse and wife Natalie, Waylan Kruse and wife Andrea and Dallas Kruse; a great-grandchild, Reagan Kruse; four nieces, Judy Delpozo and husband Jon, Doris Cox and husband Don, Peggy Nickels and Ella Faye Lewis and husband Greg; two nephews, Ken Nickels and wife Barbara and Robert Nickels; and many grand-nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to American Heart Association, 6605 W. Interstate 40 Bldg. A6, Amarillo, TX 79106; or to National Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 51231, Amarillo, TX 79159.
