Mrs. C. B. Beazley
Funeral services for Mrs. C. B. Beazley of Norman, Okla., were held at Poplar Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. J. A. Wade officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of McGahey and Lott Funeral Home. Flower contributions were made to the Cancer Fund in Oklahoma.
Mrs. Beazley, the former Dorothy Lee Boatman Box, passed away at the McCurdy Hospital in Purcell, Okla., after a three weeks illness. She was born Jan. 17, 1913, at Nashville, Tenn., and moved to Mississippi at an early age. She moved to Norman in 1952 where she was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Norman and had been employed as a nurse at Norman Municipal Hospital and previously at Coyne-Campbell Clinic, Oklahoma City, and Central State.
Survivors include her husband, C. B. Beazley of Norman; a daughter, Mrs. Emma Ruth Hodges, Route 3, Winona; three sons, James Box, Norman, Okla., John Box, Kokamo, Ind., and Kenneth Box of Jackson, Miss.; two brothers, Hamilton and Wyndell Boatman, both of Jackson.
Pall bearers were Walter King, Marion Williams, Grady Ellis, Osborn Williams, Pearl Williams and Charlie Ballard.
