Naomi Butler, only known child of Samuel Butler and Naomi Kilborn, b. of record Aug. 10, 1752. She d. testate Jan. 26, 1826, cenotaph Æ 73 (sic, 74.)

On Dec. 7, 1775 of record at the Wethersfield Cong. Ch., Naomi m. as his 2nd wife, Samuel Boardman, s. of Cornet Joseph Boardman and Mary Belden, b. of record Dec. 4, 1744 at Wethersfield. He d. of cholera at Wethersfield Aug. 7, 1822, cenotaph Æ 78.

According to the Boardman Genealogy (1895, I:267), Samuel and Naomi had seven children at Wethersfield, none of whom appear in and can be factually confirmed by the extant Wethersfield town or church baptism records. Whereas Naomi died testate leaving an extensive probate record, Samuel left no probate record. Their purported children were: Samuel (d. unm.), Anne (Talcott), Butler (d. unm.), Abigail (Deming), Julia (d. unm.), Eunice (Deming), and Sally (Warren).

Naomi (Butler) Boardman wrote her will at Wethersfield on Dec. 14, 1825 naming her heirs as her four daughters Abigail, Julia, Eunice and Sally. She appointed her friend Samuel Galpin as sole executor of the estate. Included in the subsequent executor's account of charges paid on Aug. 9, 1827 is "to one pair of gravestones for Mr. & Mrs. Boardman, $14."
