Elizabeth Boal was a daughter of John Boal (b. 1805) and Isabelle Huey Boal who resided at Boalsburg in Centre Co., PA. Elizabeth was brought in 1838, at age of 6, overland to her new home at Cooperstown in Venango Co. She lived in the family farm 34 years after her husband's death and died of typhoid Sept 2; her son George died a month later from typhoid complicated by Bright's disease. Silas Murray, Silas's daughter Frances, and Nancy L. also contracted typhoid but recovered.
Mrs. Elizabeth Andrews, widow of William Andrews, died at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon on the old Andrews homestead near Conneaut Lake. Mrs. Andrews was 77 years of age [Incorrect; she was 76 -ESH] and was born near Cooperstown [Incorrect -ESH]. She leaves a large number of relatives to mourn her death.
The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock and the interment will be private on account of the illness of other members of the family.
