Mrs. Woodell Dies; Rites Tuesday
Mathilda Woodell, 72, passed away in Kalispell Thursday
morning. Mrs. Woodell was born Nov. 18, 1893 in Fessenden,
N.D., and as a small child she moved with her parents to Turtle
Lake, N. D., where she made her hone until coming to Polson
in 1910.in 1912, she was married to Nicholas Commers of Polson
And with her husband made her home in Polson where she was
Preceded in death by him In April 1935. In 1938 Mrs. Woodell
Was married to Harry Woodell of Polson and with her husband
made their home in various places until moving to Kansas
City in 1953. Following the death Of Mr. Woodell in 1963
Mrs.Woodell moved to Somers where she had made her horns
Since .Mrs. Woodell was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Kansas
City. .She was preceded in death by five children, Esther,
Milton, Howard, Amelia and Albert. She is now survived by one
daughter, Mrs. Irene Reifscheider of Scotsbluff, Neb.; four
sons, Roy Commers of Somers, George Commers of Aptos,
Calif.; Harry Commers of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Nicholas
Commers of Somers; four sisters, Mrs. Pauline Hanson of
Turtle Lake, Mrs. Mary Basye of Hot Springs, and Mrs. Lillian
Dhulst, and Miss Alma Blumhagen, both of Portland,
Ore.; four brothers, Fred Blumhagen of Poison, Albert Blumhagen
of Spokane, Martin Blumhagen of Libby and Herman
Blumhagen of Portland, Ore.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great
grandchildren. The body will lie in state in the Wagener &
Campbell Funeral Home until Tuesday morning when it will be taken to the
Mosley Funeral Hone in Polson where services have been
set for Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Mosley Chapel with J. Torrance
Harvey, pastor of the Lakeside Chapel, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery.
