BLUE: Benjamin W. Blue born 1 November 1836 at Indianapolis, Indiana; served in the Civil War with Co. F. 26th Illinois Infantry; married 28 Aug. 1864, to Maria L. Truman; had 5 children; settled near Homer, Champaign Co., Illinois; moved to Kansas in 1873; settled 10 miles north of Solomon; later moving to present home.

Died 1 July 1921l survived by wife; 3 daughters, and 2 sons; Mrs. Effie E. Thompson of Ligle, Wyo.; Mrs. Winona A Van Campen of Colby, Kansas; Garrett L., Mary L. & Franklin B. at home; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. (21 July 1921)
